About Us
The highest responsibility the therapist has is to protect the spirit,
the sense of hope, and the life force.-Ron Kurtz
Therapeutic Style:
Our approach to therapy is to view our clients from a place of wellness and wholeness. We understand that all individuals possess the tools and skills they need for their own healing. Spirituality or religious faith are an important part of coping and we encourage clients to utilize their faith in working towards their goals. We work toward empowering clients so they manage not only the events that brought them to therapy, but also the new challenges they may face in life. Our goal is to help guide the client to identify and work towards healthy relationships with self and others so they can live a full and complete life.
Theoretical Orientation:
We utilize psychodynamic psychotherapy which explores past experiences as they impact and influence current behaviors and relationships. Body centered psychotherapy which explores the unique relationship with memory and where trauma is stored in the body and CBT to look at thinking patterns and develop behavior changes to improve coping.
